Les autres constructeurs nippons copieront le concept (Honda avec Acura; Nissan avec Infiniti... et Mazda décide aussi de créer l'appellation 'Xedos', du moins pour certains pays. La Xedos 6 en fut la meilleure illustration, avec une finition et une motorisation haut de gamme. L'expérience ne fut pas bien concluante, mais la Xedos 6 connaît toutefois ses aficionados en collection. Si le véhicule emprunte probablement trop d'éléments au 'Bio-design', il demeure non moins élégant et fiable. A noter que cette brochure présente aussi la version V6 en 1.6, complétant ainsi le moteur 2.0 litre. Elle fait également allusion à la conscience environnementale et la réutilisation des matériaux, chose encore peu à la mode au milieu des années 90 ;).
