See in its original language (French) : Ce cabochon convient pour les R16 restylées (à partir du millésime 1971). A noter une subtilité ici qui le rend moins courant: il s'agit d'un cabochon pour un modèle qui n'est pas doté des feux de recul (ce n'est qu'à partir de 1977 que toutes les R16 en seront équipées). L'emplacement du feu de recul est remplacé ici par un catadioptre. Si on veut d'ailleurs pousser les 'vices' de la subtilité encore plus loin ;-), il semble que certaines R16 n'avaient parfois qu'un seul feu de recul (s'agissait-il d'un ajout?). Aussi, certains cabochons pouvaient avoir un feu de recul de couleur orange, puisque la législation française l'imposa jusqu'à la fin de 1972. Comme c'est souvent le cas, la partie chromée déposée sur le plastique est parfois manquante. Un moyen assez simple d'y remédier est de déposer de la peinture chromée à partir de la section intérieure du feu.
